OVERVIEW:
This custom Spanish villa,
complete with extensive covered
loggias and terraces, takes
advantage of its setting along
twelve acres overlooking the
Chattahoochee River. Custom
mahogany casement windows and
doors re-create the true style of
European openings. Extensive
masonry stucco, Colombian clay
roof tiles, heavy timber beams,
custom ironwork and custom
patterned, terrazzo floors secure
its enduring authenticity.
Technologically advanced, the
exterior walls are constructed of
autoclaved, aerated concrete
blocks- a material developed in
Europe, which provides insect,
fire, moisture, thermal and
allergen resistance.
Executed in association with P.
Drey + Company and Stan Topol and
Associates. Daniel T. Hubbell,
AIA was the architect. |
