Mt Paran Residence
This high-end residence on Atlanta’s stately Mount Paran Road was thoughtfully designed to exemplify the grand, formal qualities of French provincial manor homes. Evoking that traditional architecture, this custom home features a symmetrical facade, tall windows, steeply-pitched roofs, soaring chimneys, and natural materials like European stucco. These elements are resonant of 16th century chateaux in the Loire countryside.
We formed a steep, natural slate roof and twin, flanking garages around an oval motor court. These components along with the grand entry portico emphasize formality. The soaring foyer includes a grand spiral staircase, and the central gallery is complemented by a separate guest entry and suite. Other quintessential elements of French architecture were contextually included in this beautiful estate home, including tall, eyebrowed windows that capture northern natural daylight, arched openings, copper louver vents, French colonial dormers, and a turreted breakfast room.
